La Flama Blanca has been a decade in the making, tracing back to the moment I first encountered Kenny Powers during my tenure as a salesperson for the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers. While going by Kenny Lohmann, it was rather apt that my colleagues dubbed me Kenny Powers. The notion of sporting a mullet never even crossed my mind, especially within the confines of the corporate world. I upheld a more conventional hairstyle.

Then along came Covid, prompting me, like many others, to embark on a hair growth journey. Initially, I aimed for a "Jon Snow" look from Game of Thrones. Why not, right?

Well, had I not relocated from the South—Atlanta, Georgia, Go Dawgs—to Colorado Springs, I probably wouldn't have joined the ranks of the mullet aficionados. It was when I stumbled upon the televised National Mullet competition that I decided to dive into this trend. My hair flourished, becoming long, thick, and curly. Wrestling control over this unruly mane became a feat, leading me to discover my preference for short sides and cascading length at the back.

And what was the result? As you've likely surmised by now, when I step out in public—be it at the state fair or a Braves game back in my hometown—inevitably, I hear the refrain: "Do you know who you resemble?" That's right, the initial seed has matured into a new incarnation of Kenny Powers.

I proudly stand as Kenny Lohmann, and the sensation of triumph is truly unparalleled!
