When my third stepdad got out of prison we had been estranged for roughly 12 years. He showed up at my door, as I had started growing my mullet on a lost bet. He looked at me, and began to cry telling me how proud he was of the man I became. Even though he and my mother haven’t been together in as many years, we are pretty much best friends. I’ve contemplated cutting it several times but I’m just happy to have someone that’s proud of me, felonies or not. Love you, Greg, I don’t care what mom says, you’re the man.
