Wilder's mom didn't want to cut off all his baby hair. She finally succumbed to the pressure to chop some bangs when she noticed Wilder's hair blowing into his eyes when they were cruising with all the windows down in the car, blasting a metal "Baby Shark" rendition through the speakers. The scissors came out after that ride, but once the bangs were short, that mama could not bring herself to cut ALL of Wilder's soft and wispy baby hairs. At first she told herself she would wait just a few days before cutting off the baby mullet, but it didn't take long for that hairstyle to grow in her heart.

Wilder's mullet matches is personality: loud, unique, and, just like his namesake, WILD. Now his mama can't even imagine him without it!
