My mullet was born on May 20th, 2020. I didn't realize that it would grow to be what it is today or that I was destined to be in this competition. After growing (the back of ) my hair for over a year, I was starting to get a lot of compliments. Unfortunately, I didn't hear about the 2021 Mullet Championship until it was too late. 2022 would be different. Now,I have extra time to train my hair to be something special. But alas, registration ended earlier than my Dad expected and I missed my second chance. Here we are in 2023 and my mullet has become a large part of my identity, and has even developed a personality of its own. Sometimes he behaves, letting me run my fingers smoothly through his curls. Other times he snarls and bites at the first glance of a brush. Today on the first day of registration for the 2023 USA Mullet Championship he behaved quite well for the pictures you'll see. He's resting comfortably in the warmth of a rare late spring sun, taking a break from a long, cold, wet winter of being the best Northwest Neck Warmer you could ask for!
