Maverick’s mullet took on a life of its own as the days, weeks and months passed as it grew down his back. The thumbs up, nice hair and positive feedback from family and strangers embolden his determination to let his hair and personality grow in the Florida sun. As it grew longer into the fall you could see it flow from his football helmet and come the spring out of his lacrosse helmet as he would run by ripping shots into the goal. From sports to beach shorts, the mullet just seemed to fit Maverick and the life that he lived. When asked when it would be cut, he just shrugged and said maybe when he is 14. But for now, this 8 year old Maverick and his mullet are one and enjoying a life that most would love to live.
