Joey started growing his mullet last October. He plays travel hockey, and in hockey your hair is known as your "lettuce" or your "flow". The kids with the lettuce sticking out of the back of their helmets are the toughest dudes on the team. One of his hockey coaches call him "Joey Mullets".
Joey also plays travel baseball and the curls in his mullet curl perfectly out from the bottom of his baseball cap as he is striking out the batters on the opposing teams. They know when "The Beast" is up to pitch, they better not focus on his racing stripes and lightening bolts that he has shaved into the sides of his hair. Joey is so proud of his business in the front, and party in the back.
