The reason why I got the mullet is because my friends Pete and Jackson said I should and I did. No one else in the school had one and at first, many of my friends thought it was just another fad for me, but when I started to get noticed for it, they all began trying to grow one, too. Since then, I have modified my mullet by different sideburn cuts and different hair lengths and even shortening my sideburns to a "0" with the shaver. The best time was showing my school team spirit by having my hairdresser carve a Winston "W" in the side of my scalp for my first varsity homecoming game when I was only in 8th grade.

The reason why it's called "Built Different" is because of my best friend Matthew introduced me to Casey Donahue and his new song, Built Different, which matches my personality perfectly. I am an athlete at school and participate in all the sports that my school offers, but I also am a cyclist and participate in weight training. I never go anywhere without someone commenting on my mullet, which makes my mom jealous as she was the one who used to receive all the hair compliments. My parents always tell me I am unique and different and I make my own style. I am very different from most kids in that I was adopted at birth, I am dyslexic, I like a sports, wood working, hunting and fishing, but I also like swimming, cycling and all sorts of music. I like to mix different styles and come up with something all my own.....I'm Built Different.
