A competitor since birth and Haire as his last name, Emmett knew what he was born to do- conquer the Mullet Champ Competition. His mullet journey started 18 months ago when he wanted to stand out on and off the field. Donning a mullet and a confident reputation on the soccer and baseball field, Emmett received the nickname “Kenny Powers” from his sideline fans. Since then, Kenny is a crowd favorite who works hard to compete with the best. Emmett is also a proud military kid who has experienced an exciting life from the beginning thanks to his dad serving in the Air Force. Being resilient and making friends wherever he can is certainly our two favorite traits of his. Recently, his dad deployed to the Middle East and Emmett made a promise to him that he would try his hardest to win and knock the socks off his fellow mullet competitors. In the words of the real Kenny Powers, “But sometimes when you bring the thunder, you get lost in the storm. And a true champion, face to face with his darkest hour, will do whatever it takes to rise above”.
