Two years ago at the start of 4th grade in August 2022 I started growing out my mullet. I used to have a buzz cut so I basically started from nothing. By that spring break, I had a “baby mullet.” It was awesome so I kept growing it out. It was long enough over the summer that I got to shave flags into the sides for the 4th of July. By the time 5th grade started in August 2023, the Mud Flap was in full effect! My school has a dress code that says your hair isn’t supposed to touch your collar, so my teacher reminded me that I needed to cut my hair A LOT. But, I couldn’t get rid of my mullet so I would just get a little trim every once and a while. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to a plain hair cut again. My mullet is a part of me and I love it! My favorite part about my mullet is that it’s all natural…no perm for me!
