It all started with my great-grandpa Louie, a veteran of the Korean War. I watched as he began growing out his hair, turning it into a rat tail. I thought it was pretty cool, so I wanted to grow one too. As the tail started curling, I turned it into a faux hawk instead because I knew mine would not look like Grandpa Louie's. I was not satisfied with the faux hawk; it was not quite right. Then my dad told me I should grow a mullet and showed me pictures of Cole Holcomb with the Washington Commanders. That was it, that was what felt right, and I started with the transition. After a year, my mullet was grown, and people loved it as much as I did. I still love it three years later and don't see myself cutting it anytime soon. Being a part of this competition has been a goal of mine, and I am happy to share my love of the mullet with others and see other sweet mullets other kids are rocking. I present to you all the Mane Event. I give special thanks to my man, Rey, for keeping it fresh.
