In the mist of COVID, Barrett's dad Nick was cutting his hair at home due to the lockdown. Nick would always joke around and attempt to cut a mullet. The inside joke being referenced to Barrett's mother Tonya who decided to cut her hair at the age of 3. The only style to save Tonya's hair without cutting it extremely short was to cut it as a mullet. Tonya finally got tired of the "inside joke" and decided to make an appointment to start Barrett's mullet journey. On October 16, 2021, Mullet Baby was born. Barrett goes to his local Lady Janes routinely for a trim. After several different stylist, Barrett found his perfect match, Sheila. Sheila is the only hair stylist Barrett allows to cut his hair. Barrett has Tonya make his appointments every 2 weeks with Ms. Sheila. Barrett is known by every stylist at Lady Janes for his mullet and is known as, Mullet Baby. Nick and Tonya started the mullet as a joke, and it has now become a part of their son's personality.
