Harendon is inspired by my mother and my father. Its a testament to my parents marriage and my roots. It’s length represents my mothers strong will, determination and ability to see things through. Just like a powerful waterfall, cascading down my back, slamming into my shoulders blades as I walk. Unstoppable and constant.
The sides and top is an homage to my father, for inspiring and lighting that fire in my spirit about freedom and equality, thus engaging in a ritualistic maintenance, keeping them the same length at all times.
The front part, aka the bangs, represents me, Maribel, straight to the point, fun and short.
Shaped and constructed by yours truly, in my apartment bathroom.
